Keller kitchens & csr
In the coming years, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) will remain an important point on Keller Kitchens’ agenda. Our activities as a company affect both people and the environment. We want to take full responsibility for our actions and make conscious decisions to achieve a good balance between People, Planet and Profit.
To reach the best results we have established a companywide CSR-workgroup. This workgroup has defined and shaped our CSR-policy as well as our key future focal points.
Carbon Neutral production
We are proud to mention that the production of Keller kitchens is CO2 neutral. We have achieved this milestone by generating part of our electricity demand with solar panels. The remaining electricity demand is compensated by the purchasing of green electricity. We meet our heating demand by co-firing our wood waste in our special biomass installation. The remaining CO2 emissions are mitigated through partnerships with Trees for All and the Climate Neutral Group. Thanks to this additional mitigation, Keller Kitchens is officially carbon neutral.
Sustainable development goals
The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The 17 Goals are all interconnected, and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve them all by 2030. At DKG Group we make the biggest contribution to the following goals:
Carbon emissions of our kitchen cabinets
- 2015: 12,10 gram CO2
- 2016: 11,92 gram CO2
- 2017: 5,67 gram CO2
- 2018: 3,04 gram CO2
- 2019: 10,97 gram CO2
- 2020: 2,20 gram CO2

WOOD FROM SUSTAINABLY GOVERNED FORESTS
Kitchens are largely built up out of wood and wood-related products. On your request, we are able to provide you with FSC-products, please feel free to ask our FSC-products. This allows us to ensure that all of our wood comes from sustainably governed forests. FSC® wood is ecologically produced according to the rules and guidelines published by the Forest Stewardship Council®.

Keller Kitchens wants to contribute to society. With this in mind we often sponsor local and smaller social and environmental initiatives. All of our employees are allowed to contribute ideas and initiatives. Additionally, we often support charities together with our clients.
By reaching level 4 on the CSR Performance Ladder we have finished 2018 in a good manner. A unique performance, as this means that we are the first and only company in our industry to have achieved this. Also, this year we collaborate on creating a beautiful and clean future. For ourselves but obviously also for our environment. Therefore we start this year with a sustainable present: The Nairobi Bottle. This reusable water bottle is an initiative of Join The Pipe. With this order we support Join The Pipe in organising clean drinking water projects in developing countries.

Keller Kitchens is a company that is open to both critique and ideas. That wants to help think about ideas, as well as let others help think about ideas. To be in the kitchen together and create beautiful and affordable kitchens. This is what we do, together with our clients. Our relationship with them is personal and crucial.
A beautiful kitchen should also be a safe kitchen. This is why we produce our kitchens with various safety features. For example, we always use safety glass and we always implement additional safety in our folding flap cabinet fittings. Additionally, we ensure safe installation of cabinets, as well as adequate fixation of kitchen islands and cabinet boards. Our installation mechanics are VCA certified and are familiar with all of the required safety measures during kitchen installation. Our built-in kitchen programmes meet the standards NEN-EN 14749 (safety requirements and test methods) as well as NEN-EN 1116 (coordinating sizes for kitchen furniture and kitchen appliances).
